Accessibility in the Blumvie app
This page covers the Blumvie iPhone app. Here’s what it supports and how to get help.
What the app supports
- VoiceOver. Every button, quote and screen has a clear name, so you can read, save, share and browse your Collection without seeing the screen.
- Voice Control. Anything you can tap, you can do by voice, using the words you see on the screen.
- Larger Text. Text follows your iPhone’s text size, all the way up to the largest accessibility sizes, and screens scroll when they need to.
- Dark Mode. The app follows your iPhone’s Dark Mode on every screen, with no bright flashes.
- Reduce Motion. With Reduce Motion on, animations become simple fades or are left out.
- Sufficient contrast. Text and controls are easy to read on every background, in light and dark.
- Color is never the only signal. Saved quotes, selections and locked items also differ in shape, icon or words.
Two tips
- Hear today’s quote. Ask Siri, “What’s today’s Blumvie quote?” Siri reads the quote and who said it, without opening the app.
- Make the text bigger. Blumvie’s text grows with your iPhone’s text size. Open Settings, tap Accessibility, then Display & Text Size, then Larger Text.
What it doesn’t have
Blumvie has no captions or audio descriptions, because the app has no video or audio.
